An idea for retail shops to half their carbon foot print would be to get rid of all receipts, this can be done by using a swipe card similar to the club card where the receipts are stored on the card at the checkout. Then through a mobile device connected to a pc you can list all receipts in a word document that can be printed when needed. Also the customer can access there receipt via the shops website using a password.
